Mission Partners

Waitara Anglican supports mission work locally, nationally and worldwide through a partnerships with various mission agencies. Once a month during our church services we will have an update from one of the ministries listed below. Throughout the year we also hold various fundraising events to support these friends working in different contexts:

Serving In Mission (SIM)

We support Peter and Joanne Ong and their children Teaghan, Lucas and Micaiah as they work in Malawi, Africa. We have also sent and continue to support Penny and Ben Carpentier as they work in Namibia in Africa. Our church hosts a SIM prayer meeting on the 3rd Sunday of each even month (excluding December) at 3:00pm.

The Bush Church Aid Society of Australia (BCA)

We support the Chapman family as they minister in Darwin. Many of our church members also put aside their spare change in a BCA money-box which we then send off in support of BCA’s ministry.

Church Missionary Society of Australia (CMS)

Many of our church members support the work of these and other great organisations as they minister locally and around the globe.

HADCEA at Asquith Boys and Girls High Schools

We help fund Jake Fitzpatrick as a SRE (Special Religious Education) teacher at Asquith Boys and Girls High Schools.

Anglicare

We raise money and collect food and toys each year for those in need through the "Toys and Tucker" program. We also run a Mobile Community Pantry on our church grounds every second Monday, offering discounted groceries to those in need.

Sydney University EU Graduates Fund

We support Karen Sowden as she works with international students involved with the Evangelical Union the campus of the University of Sydney.
