31st December 2023 – Minister’s Letter: Planning

What are you planning for the year ahead, some new activity, a special holiday, a new project? Our diaries soon get filled up with events and plans. We all have busy lives and need to think carefully about our planning. If we don’t plan for ourselves other people can easily grab our time, or the urgent can squeeze out the important. The trick is to make sure we lock in time for the important things first: block out time for worship, fellowship with other Christians, time with God, family, and time for refreshment for ourselves. If we fail to do this, it is easy for other things to take their place.

In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus taught us to “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness” and he promised that God would supply our needs as we do this (Matthew 6:31-33). Do you pray about your planning and think it through carefully?

Joy and I wish you every blessing in 2024. We will be taking services in the little church in Nundle (near Tamworth) for the month of January and Marty will be back with you next week. We are looking forward to what God will do in Waitara in 2024 and to the Moore College Mission here in April. Please pray for the year ahead.
