Thanks for subscribing to our weekly news, we hope the year has begun well for you!
A note regarding our OT readings over the next few months
A few people have inquired about our OT readings that have been set over the next few months. Usually we set a second reading to complement the passage that we are preaching on. But from time to time we use our other reading to provide opportunity to read through a section of the Bible that we might not have read in church for a while. Currently we are taking this approach to read through the first twelve chapters of Isaiah. If you have a question about what you hear in this reading, please don’t hesitate to raise it in your Growth Group, or with a friend or staff member!
Things you can help the Rector with…….weekly or monthly
If you find that you would like to serve in a different way at church and not sure what might be needed, we can help! There are small jobs that can be suggested and could be something like:
Tidy the church
Put the bins out
Clean out the fridge
Clean filters and Glass
C4K storage cupboard
Please talk with Marty if you are keen and have a spare half hour in the week.

Prayers for this week
Pray for those countries where the church suffers intense persecution. Pray that new eras of religious freedom might emerge in these nations.
Pray for our Hornsby Mayor, Philip Ruddock, as he not only leads our council but heads the review into religious freedoms in Australia. Pray that this review might be fair and just in its findings and proposals.
Give thanks for all those who generously gave of their finances to help fund our church in 2017. Pray that we might meet our budget in 2018.
Pray for our staff and their families here at church. Pray that God might guide their work to be an even greater blessing for our church in 2018.
Pray for those for whom the new year brings big changes: attending school, moving up to university, moving house, changing jobs. Pray that these times of transition might be smooth.
Pray that Mike, co-worker with the Scotts in Taiwan, would recover well from his stroke. Pray that Daniel Scott might recover from the illness that he’s still suffering.
Blessings from your team at church,
Marty, Emily, Nick, Richard, Leonie, Matt, and Vicki
