Week ending 14th January 2018

Dear Friends,

Thanks for subscribing to our weekly news, we hope that you have managed to stay cool this week in such high temperatures.

Happy News!

Congratulations to Kirsten and Max Lee (8:30am service) on the safe arrival of their first child, an as-of-yet unnamed baby boy! Everyone is doing well.

Training plans for February 2018

We have planned some dates for new OR refresher training for three areas of Ministry here at Waitara. Please add them to your brand new diary or phone calendar!

Prayers                             Sunday 18th Feb

These training opportunities will run from 11.30am for approximately an hour. Ideally we would like for all members of our teams to attend and be up to date as we serve each other at church. Please RSVP to Vicki in our church office:

Helpers for Children’s Ministry 2018

Please remember, one of our strategic areas of focus as a parish is ministry with children. Volunteering in one of these roles is a great way to help our church be as effective as possible!

Sunday mornings

C4K Leader – this requires you to teach a class

C4K Helper – you are there to help the C4K Leader

C4K administration – sending out Birthday cards to C4K Kids

Wednesday mornings

SRE Teacher or Helper – Waitara Public School is growing, which also means more children.  Therefore we need more teachers and helpers to teach these students the amazing love Jesus has for them. Please see Emily for more information

Tuesday mornings

Junior Jivers – Helper needed to set up/pack up toys

Junior Jivers – Helper to help run the music sessions and story.t

Help needed to chat with parents that come to join us.

For more information about how you can help in any of these children’s ministry roles, please contact Emily Carpenter:
